E-commerce business is changing but the speed of changing of e-commerce business is very fast than before. Nowadays with the help of shopping software, we can easily compare the products with other products in mobile s or tablets without any need of physical inspection and the products are easily shipped and distribute. Many consumers are started buying foreign stuffs from the new websites, this shows that consumers are going globally for buying and selling goods. As the consumers started buying products globally, this is the down fall of many local and domestic merchants. So they also sta rted selling products overseas after doing a proper survey of the market (Babin, S. 2007) Thus, e-commerce helps the local and domestic vendors to sell their products globally and these vendors are the big winners. The increasing number of people using the internet via tablets and Smartphone for various purpose and making a purchase which makes the e-commerce site mobile-friendly. The e-commerce vendors as first as possible they canadapt this process of storytelling, they will see the higher sales graph and those who can't adopt they will remain backwards. One ofthe future marketing is the niche based content targeting that will gainmomentum in the market. On the list of e-Commerce retailer companies Amazon is a brand name the company gives discounts to customers whichattract many and adds advantage to it (Ecommercedevelopment, 2000). The organisation expand it services in the worldwide market with little investment. So beingan e-commerce brings an added advantage to the organisation to run in different countries with better services to the customers. Amazon is a place where the customers can find anything at a lowestpossible price which helps in attracting more customers this is itself anpolicies which its present more on themarket with each passing day the mo re eye-catching policies increase the present more on the market with each passing day the more the company has his service dated with quality products and better customer satisfaction the morecompany has its market value. The brand image is created by E-Commerce and is supported by advertisement and the internet in recent days. The items used in in B2B E-Commerce or electronics shipping, ware housing, motor vehicles, etc. where key technologies are electronic data exchange, the internet, intranet extranet and backend information system. E-commerce involves the use of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) and Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) in making commerce between consumers and organisation, organisation and organisation, or between consumers and consumers. E-commerce brings some new technology and new capabilities for business in the new generation (Tuten, T. 2010). Nowadays, these companies advertise their product on the internet and consumers buy the product with the help of internet. E-business strategy refers to missed opportunity for additional sales on the sell side and more efficient purchasing on the buying side. Sometimes poor customer even experiences from poorly intergraded channels. There are several opportunities in the e-business that are stated below mainly, selling well online, providing services to the company and the ability to compare prices across different platforms gives e-commerce outlets a leg up with shoppers, selling well online, providing services to the business model. E-busin ess achieved greater success than any other business models. The main feature of this model has to minimise the cost of transactions, accounting, etc. if people are comparing the price in the offline market in respect the online market, they must see that online market price is low than an offline market. E-business follows the strategy of supply chain management and email marketing. E-business uses the functionality of supply chain management that helps to coordinate between wholesalers and retailers so that the cost can be reduced (Yuan, M. 2005). With the help of the internet, you can observe purchasing the final delivery of the product. E-business provides customer relationship management so that they will guaranty the greatest level of customer satisfaction and e-commerce sites that provide some SSL encryption for payment security. Thus the ecommerce can be emulated as the prima donna of the modern marketing structure. Today everything is valued on the basis of the availability of the products at ease. The ecommerce shall effectively solve the requirements. It is an important thing to understand that it is not possible for the e commerce to fend for all the requirements. The e commerce shall have their own shortcomings too. Yet this must be kept in mind that e commerce has brought a considerable improvement in the industry of trade and commerce. Today the frontiers of sales have increased from mere market based product orientation to the online Shoppe. The inclusion of the e commerce has made people to buy easily and with fewer prices. The availability of the occasional discounts and great sale has really reverberated the system. The habits of the commons have been altered totally due to the influence of the e commerce. There are the shortcomings too. The first and the foremost thing is that the product is invisible in the e commerce. There are the photos of the products and the person has to be happy with that. There is a declaration on behalf of the company circulating the products but there is no assurance that the declaration shall be maintained. The products are not judged and bought. There are not all the parts of the world which are presently under the e commerce system. The system shall fail for those people and the places where there is less computer knowledge. Thus the e commerce must be developed more and more so that every lame man understands the use fop the same and can avail the great offers. E commerce has opened a new vista now there is the time to amend the same and evolve the same for the betterment of all and sundry. References Allen, S., Graupera, V. and Lundrigan, L. Dos Donts for the Why Us College-Specific Supplemental Essay

On top of the personal statement, many universities also asks applicants to write an additional supplemental essay, specifically asking â€Å"Why Us?†.The college application process is a two-sided one. Applicants want to appeal to the university they want to attend by working hard throughout high school and writing an insightful personal statement. Similarly, colleges work on improving their facilities and boosting their academic departments to gain continued interest from applicants. With increasing competition, applicants are applying to more schools. The â€Å"Why Us† supplement helps universities distinguish those students who truly know what their institutions stand for and offers, and how those students would be able to thrive and contribute to the student body. DO NOT be vague. Each supplemental essay is an opportunity for you to demonstrate your interest in the school and tell them more about yourself. Many of these supplemental essays also have a small word limit, so be concise and straightforward about the point you’re trying to make. Here’s an example:â€Å"While lectures are informative, private discourses with the professors can be more inspiring. Probing and impromptu questions always throw more light on the original thought process and creative thinking behind the facts. Shorter idea proposition-correction cycles would also enliven the creative process that would beget still better ideas. Knowledge is critical but it’s no substitute for creative thinking. This is the reason I value accessibility to professors in Northwestern so highly.† KingCooper, Georgetown University ‘14 What did this paragraph say about the applicant or about Northwestern? Nothing. From big state universities to small liberal arts colleges, lectures and small discussion groups exists at most schools. Additionally, is the applicant then implying that professors are only accessible at Northwestern? That’s not true, and while it’s nice to hear, the admissions office at Northwestern also know that’s not true. DO your research. How can you avoid being vague? Do your research, and do it specific to what you want to study. If you’re undecided, then look into the departments that you are potentially interested in. Additionally, you can also look into the types of programs the university has put together in partnership with the city you’ll be in.Here’s an example: â€Å"Columbia is ideal for me due to its international focus, evidenced by the opportunities it affords undergraduates to study over 40 languages and study abroad in over 150 locations. Language study is a particular passion of mine; I’ve studied five languages so far and hope to continue my studies of Mandarin and Arabic, while possibly beginning to study a sixth language. Also, studying at Huna University in China was a life-changing experience which left me yearning to study abroad again. I know at Columbia this would be possible.† Lmelcher, Columbia University ‘20 In this â€Å"Why Columbia?† supplement essay excerpt, the writer shows off what she’s learned about the university and how it appeals to her. On top of demonstrating the fact she’s considered why Columbia is the right school for her, she was also able to tell the admissions office more about herself and her interests. DO NOT list out the university programs they have. While research is crucial, make sure you are able to digest the information you’ve learned. Do not just list out what you’ve read from the university website or what you learned on the campus tour. The point is how did that information make you want to apply to this school. Here’s an example: â€Å"Georgetown’s School of Foreign Service is a well-known college for students interested in studying political science. The SFS offers 8 specific majors that helps students focus on a specific track of international relations they want to explore. In addition to that, Georgetown has over 200 co-curricular clubs for students to get involved in, which will allow me to explore my interests and engage in clubs I really enjoy.† The applicant fails to share what programs or qualities of Georgetown he or she is most interested in, and why he or she wants to enroll there. Again, there’s no need to tell the admissions office what programs Georgetown have. DO tell them which university programs you’re interested in and why. Once you’ve done your research and found the programs you’re interested in, talk about why you’re interested in that program. Why is that program at the university unique? Are there courses that aren’t offered at other universities? What about internship or research opportunities? Here’s an example: â€Å"I am especially eager to work under Professor Mung Chiang who is at the top of his respective field in Electrical Engineering. With years of experience in network research and applications, Professor Chiang’s research is but one of many I wish to learn about while on my path to gaining my Bachelor’s in Engineering from Princeton. I wish to take full advantage of these many programs and bring my own unique set of skills and interests by attending Princeton.† - Justin.Tran.JT, Princeton University ‘20 How was this excerpt different? The applicant specifically shares what he’s interested in studying, Electrical Engineering, and why he wants to pursue his studies at Princeton. Additionally, he also approaches this supplement with a give-and-take attitude. It’s not all about what the university can do for you; it’s also about how you can help contribute back to the university’s community. DO NOT just talk about how great the university is. Compliments are nice, but it won’t get you accepted. Your supplemental essay can certainly include qualities of the university you admire, but remember the focus should be how it ties back to you. Here’s an example: â€Å"Harvard University is one of the best universities in the world. I want to be among the creative intellectuals that make up the Harvard student body, and learn from professors pursuing innovative research.† Don’t do it. That’s just fluff. DO talk about how well you’d fit into the student body. While it’s important to demonstrate which academic programs you’re interested in, it’s also important to share what you like about the university’s campus culture, extracurriculars, student body and more. You need to also enjoy what the city or campus has to offer, and what you can do when you’re not in class! Here’s an example: â€Å"As a student at NYU, I could continue my tutoring and mentoring work through the university’s America Reads program or explore my love for travelling while providing invaluable aid as a part of the unique option for alternative breaks. Regardless of what path I find myself taking as NYU opens my eyes to growth and change, I know that an education and an experience spent in such a special community is one that has the potential to change my life and make an everlasting impact.† – Katiedolci, New York University ‘19 Take this excerpt for example. By sharing examples of NYU extracurriculars she wants to engage in, she is also giving us more insight into who she as a person, and how NYU’s community will be able to help her achieve her goals. Halifaxs remote location hindered its growth, but World War I brought it back into prominence again as a shipping point for supplies to Europe. The Citadel is a hill overlooking the harbor that from the citys beginnings was  valued for its view of the harbor and surrounding lowland and was from the start the site of fortifications, the first being a wooden guard house. The last fort to be built there, Fort George, stands as a reminder to the historical importance of this key area. Introduction of Management Essay Example | Topics and Well Written Essays - 2000 words

Introduction of Management - Essay Example He has to understand the team and be a transformational leader himself. He also has to modify his own behaviour incorporating the behavioural theory in his leadership style. He also has to use transactional style of leadership to reward and punish the employees appropriately. Also, he has to keep in mind that these employees have been working in this firm for a long time and have good relations with the owner which could work negatively for him. In the last section of the report it is illustrated how power can influence leadership. The right kind of power has to be given to the right person so that leadership can be healthy and meaningful. If powers are wrongly distributed or used then it would hamper leadership instead of helping it. The right kind of leadership is essential for productivity of the firm. The employees cannot work appropriately in an environment where the leadership is sloppy. The employees need direction and goals and someone who binds them together making them into a team. This can only be done by a good leader who has leadership qualities and who knows just how to distribute powers and motivates the employees. Any imbalance in the above would cause misuse of powers by the employees and the leader himself which would inturn produce dissatisfaction among the employees affecting the production directly (Torbert 2004). The main problem of leadership in this situation is the lack of leadership qualities in the leader. He lacked the competencies of a good leader. This is the reason why the employees were unable to work in a team. He was not able to make them work together. Instead they became divided into two broad groups and worked on their own with no one to monitor their work and productivity, the previous supervisor was not bothered and concerned as he himself was not motivated about the productivity and deadlines of work (Coleman, 2004, pp. 297-319). Petrarchs letter Essay Example | Topics and Well Written Essays - 750 words

Petrarchs letter - Essay Example Some people are only interested in the type and age of the rocks on such mountains, and the type of plant and animal life in such places. Yet some see these rocks and cliff edges as another challenge they need to conquer. But there are those who speak of beyond just knowledge and conquest. Such works by Petrarch have made him to be considered as the father of renaissance and one of the earliest humanists (Clarion Journey par 1-2). Being someone that toured Europe for fun, even earning the name â€Å"the First Tourist†, he set to climb Mount Ventoux. Going against every warning not to reach the peak of the mountain and armed with a novel by St. Augustine that is believed to have fallen open on the ground exposing certain parts that led to engage in deep reflection Petrarch went ahead with his excursion. The warnings he received and the words of St. Augustine’s novel opened his mind and led him to turn to his inner soul rather than the outer world as evidenced by his words â€Å"I was completely satisfied with what I had seen of the mountain and turned my inner eye toward myself. From this hour nobody heard me say a word until we arrived at the bottom.† (Hà ¶rnqvist par. 17). This moment of awareness as he went down Mount Ventoux is considered as the beginning of renaissance. Being the father of humanism and the father of renaissance, he was the first to link Christian philosophy with classic culture. He suggested that humans were given a variety of intellectual and creative potential that can be used as preferred. These humanist philosophical ideas gave rise to the renaissance. His journey on Mount Ventoux was more for luxury rather than a necessity. His journey to the mountain is what led him to write the letter to his friend and also his confessor Dionigi Di Borgo San Sepolcro. In the letter, he states that he had been inspired by the climbing of Mount Haemus by Philip V of Macedon as

Impact of Temperature on Food Rejection

Impact of Temperature on Food Rejection Abstract: Fresh cut leafy green vegetable companies that operate cold supply chains can potentially benefit from information compiled about the reasons of rejections and discarding of products. Most of the time the reason for this is temperature abuse and decay along the distribution chains. This temperature abuse is what causes decay. The vast compilation of information that is available to the cold chain operators from all the departments in the supply chain starting from procurement to the sales and customer services helps monitor and improve the success of the business. It is beneficial to the business to find the underlying cause or root cause of the temperature abuse. This thesis attempts to determine the reasons behind temperature abuse that result in the rejection of the products. If there is a better way of transporting the products without temperature abuse happening to it. If the products distribution in specific packaging and different ways within the transportation vehicle. This thesis will use statistical analysis to analyses the results compiled over a period of three months of rejections and their underlying cause. The findings of this thesis can help operators of transportation cold chains better distribute the product by using the correct packaging unit and distribution arrangement. Introduction: Technology today to monitor temperature if the supply chain environment is fairly accurate. Real-time cold chain monitoring systems are easily available and are used in different industries of perishable foods. The monitoring of these products has made the industry a little bit more clear than before, as it used to seem difficult to understand the handling of products. The information is shared by the industries to their customers. Understanding the information provided may seem difficult for the customer as it may seem like large quantities of information that is not displayed correctly. . Specifically, this thesis seeks to study how cold chain information generated in real-time during distribution process can be interpreted and analyzed on order to reduce the temperature abuse and thus reduce rejections and improve the distribution of products. Numerous areas are possible for investigation: however, temperature abuse due to packing unit, as this may have the greatest impact on the cause of temperature abuse. Additional work will focus on the packaging of the packing units in the transportation vehicles. The areas and spaces that the packing units are put on. The way that these units are packed in the transportation vehicle. The fresh cut leafy greens will be the focus if this study. Raw materials processing facilities and customer distribution centers are the focus locations of the research study. Three processing facilities are studied and these facilities serve number of customers in total around the USA. The company serves these customers all year round and in all their locations. The products are processed, packaged, put into boxes and palletized, then they are loaded onto the transportation vehicle and sent to the distribution centers or stores. As the product is transported, the transportation vehicle is monitored by until it reaches the distribution center. The information is also recorded on paper. The information on excel files on the computer. Rejection information is monitored via a tracking system that notifies specific personnel when a product has been rejected, the location, the amount and the reason of the rejection. The product is then declared or denied if the only reason it was rejected was due to look and not quality or food safety. This data can be compiled and help the business find the underlying causes f these rejections and how to better avoid them. This thesis will look at a model that identifies when a rejection will happen. This will then help the business manage the supply SC chains performance and to take the corrective actions to prevent any product damage, financial losses ad to be able to respond to the specific events in the best way possible.

The First World War (WWI) :: World War 1 I One

Industrial Revolution   Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚   Great Britain is where the Industrial Revolution all started. The Industrial Revolution took place and started in Great Britain because at that time they were one of the most powerful nations that was being developed. The Industrial Revolution was a time of great economical and technical growth and change in Britain eight-tenth and nine-tenth centuries. In the mid nine-tenth century Britain had become the center workshop of the world ! England began exporting simply products that led to Imperialism. Imperialism is the process in which rich and powerful nation seek out little UN-industrialized countries and try to gain control and influence their people. The power of the British especially influenced the diplomatic and economic values of each of the smaller countries it took control over. The countries that were most influenced by the Industrial Revolution were Africa and Asia. The Industrial Revolution spread to these because they went there looking for more materials to trade with other countries. The British went to these smaller countries to trade, they found that the counties that they went to trade with were very weak in nature. When the British got to these counties they soon took over their ports and set up markets over seas. One of these counties was Africa. The raw materials that they went to go obtain from Africa were gold and diamonds. When the British arrived in Africa they saw that the port was weak and took it over. With the ports now under British’s control they could come and go as they pleased in and out of the country and trade very inexpensively trough-out the county. Also with the control of the ports the British’s ideas were spread quickly. The people of Britain began to take a small role in politics in South and Southeast Asia. Imperialism systems were arranged according to the policy of across sea merchants. .The reason why the British countries were so successful is because the in taking over these small un-industrlaized countries is because Britain was the most powerful county at that time and due to its economics and technology it was easy for them to influence these small UN-industrialized countries. Because these small countries had no other major influences of any other great or powerful powerful nation they were subjected to the power of the European nations.

MSc Development Finance

Furthering my knowledge in finance and economics is one of my goals. As a native of Brunei, a developing country, I would like to contribute to my country’s progress with the use of the knowledge and skills that I acquired during my undergraduate studies. Majoring in accounting and economics has provided me extensive knowledge of various economic principles and theories and their application in the business world. Although the University of Manchester has given me sufficient knowledge in the field that I have chosen, I believe that pursuing to study under this programme would provide me a broad yet focused knowledge in development finance and its practical application in the public sector. I chose to pursue this programme because of its international focus, group work, and emphasis on learning public finance, bank and non-bank financial institutions, international finance organizations, aid agencies and other finance-related areas of study that can help in understanding how the financial theories governing our country and the world economy work. The program is also designed to teach me financial inclusion and microfinance in relation to poverty reduction. My interest in development finance first sparked during my junior years. My wish to contribute to my country’s progress was further intensified by a course about economic policies of developing countries and their role in the international market. Working at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade Development in Brunei under the Finance Department for summer internship last summer 2007 has also provided me first-hand experience and knowledge in international trade. I am confident that this university has the capacity to provide students with knowledge beyond the conventional financial educational program. The programme of University of Manchester also includes strengthening the analytical decision-making skills of students. It also offers wider academic opportunities and school resources that will deepen my expertise and broaden my perspectives. I am especially interested and looking forward to the overseas field visit which is a crucial part of the programme. Most of the countries visited are developing countries like Brunei which face similar economic situations. The programme also allows students to conduct research in government and non-government organizations and other universities in the U.K. This can not only broaden my knowledge and hone my skills in finance, but also enhance my socializing and communication skills. With hopes and persuasion in my mind, I aim to establish a career that can contribute to the further development of the financial situation in my county. One of the careers that I have in mind is a job in Brunei Investment Agency (BIA). As mentioned earlier, my country is a developing country. Although we are an oil-producing country, I believe that in terms of investment and contribution to the world economy, there is still much room for progress. Through this programme, I know that I would be able to obtain what is necessary to achieve my goal. Thus, I see myself successful in a career on this field and making Brunei a more developed and investment-focused country. Â

Analysis Of The Book Travels With Charley And Into The...

Many people in America are unsure where they belong or where they should be. Some people choose to explore the world by traveling while the others choose to rot in their boring lives. Life in America is hard, there are highly expectations from people and the judgment is in every corner one turns to. The two novels, Travels with Charley and Into the Wild are two unique novels about separate individuals who choose to travel in order to seek what they are looking for. McCandless, from Into the Wild, is a young man who travels to Alaska to seek for the freedom he wanted and to escape from the reality he was living. John, from Travels with Charley, is a retired citizen who decides to go on a journey to witness what the American people have become. John comes across New Orleans, a place in where judgment is an ordinary act of the people. New Orleans is part of the racist south, as for John; he had no negative feeling towards color people. Alaska is a beautiful place to explore due to its n ature and wilderness, making it a peaceful place to escape to, while New Orleans is revolved with judgment and discrimination. Some people in America often seek for an escape from reality. Some choose to commit suicide while other chooses to run away on an adventure.
